Data Management Solutions

Data you can trust – and use

Even in the most tightly managed environments, pharmaceutical data is often processed and stored in multiple locations. These data configurations pose huge integration and operability challenges, and often lead to the proliferation of multiple, conflicting data sets within an organization. This inconsistency also undermines knowledge sharing and compromises decision-making. Trinity Pharma Solutions works with clients to create seamless processes that integrate multiple data streams, so that:

  • Disparate applications can operate off an integrated data set;
  • Analytics are consistent and accurate;
  • Data is always available "on-demand"; and
  • Information can be easily archived and retrieved for retrospective analysis and trending.

Proceed with confidence

Trinity Pharma Solutions has extensive experience in designing, building, and implementing data warehouses that support the complex and varied data feeds, sources, and requirements specific to specialty and primary-care pharmaceutical products. We create a seamless data process that is fully customizable based on client requirements. As a result, we are able to put intelligent data into the hands of decision-makers more quickly than is possible with off-the-shelf "point solutions."

Trinity is fully qualified to manage the full data lifecycle – from warehouse design to information access. We can carry out the full spectrum of activities listed here, or engage with a specific piece of the data management continuum in a way that complements your existing resources. Our services include:

Definition and Design – We identify the data that is most critical and fundamental to your business objectives, and design and build databases and warehouses that reflect those objectives.

Importing – We collect and import discrete data inputs including, but not limited to, wholesaler sales and physician data, manufacturer direct sales data, and field sales alignment data, as well as customer group, sales, and marketing data. We import this information in a variety of ways, depending on the nature of the challenge at hand, and have established processes for multiple standard file types used by major third-party vendors.

When necessary, Trinity can normalize "raw" data feeds (either pre- or post-import) to yield meaningful, accurate results. These feeds can be stored in a staging database prior to processing and integration, during which we "best practice quality assurance (QA) scripts to ensure data integrity. We also offer data-building services that leverage the querying power, scalability, and data management features of best-of-breed technologies, and can create customized import processes for one-time or client-specific data.

Processing – Based on specific business rules, user requirements, and the nature of the data in question, we process data in the most efficient and meaningful way available. The steps taken in data processing can range from the simple (e.g., report only unit sales, taking into account data unit conventions) to the highly complex (e.g., choosing a specific data source and crediting sales by a dynamic allocation percentage based on a number of calculations and selection criteria).

Reporting – We create custom report tables that make it easy for an application to draw upon relevant data quickly and efficiently, and generate reports that provide users with maximum value and a deeper level of understanding.

Archiving – For clients who choose to have us host and maintain their solution, we archive client data using a variety of methods – from near-line storage to secure offsite, third-party archives – so that it will always be available for future reference. In addition to creating custom tools and reports, we also provide ad hoc search and retrieval services that help clients apply their data to address mission-critical requirements.

Maintenance and upgrades – We work with clients to ensure that their data warehouse continually evolves to support their evolving business requirements. As part of that process, we are able to integrate new data sources, create or revise QA routines, apply new business rules, and create or revise reporting tables as needed.
